Day 11 - Tuesday, 11/19/24 - At Sea to Casablanca - Day 2
Overnight the seas were the flattest we have encountered this voyage and we slept well until our 7am alarm. Breakfast for me was my normal fortified conji. After the devotional with Pastor Dan, Nick's coffee chat was with John, the front desk manager. He indicated that in dry dock the front desk counters were lowered to meet ADA standards and that the Pinnacle lounge was totally refreshed (I can't verify this). We also observed the first other ship we've seen on the open sea when the Sky Princess passed in front of us on its way to the Canary Islands.
Brian Beck gave a short talk on the Knights of Malta before Nick gave his port talk on Pireus, Greece. We learned he's not a fan of Feta cheese and that the audience were big fans of it.
After lunch Michael Sullivan presented his Part 2 of Periods & isms in art. It was really good. The afternoon movie was 'Made In Italy' starring Leeam Neeson and his son and how they rebuild their relationship. We really liked it. Angela found a hidden cruise duck.
Following a Lido dinner, the Italian tenor, Carlo Ruggiero, gave a wonderful concert featuring famous arias and Neopolitan classical songs. We retired early as we gave an early arrival into Casablanca tomorrow and an all day private excursion.
